Mt. Tallac Summit Hike
Iconic. That is the best word to describe Mt. Tallac, the picturesque peak that watches over Lake Tahoe. Standing at nearly 10,000 feet, Mt. Tallac rises over 3,000 feet above the lake, making for one awesome hike. The summer trail travels a little over 5 miles one way to the summit, meaning you'll have hiked 10.5 miles and 6,500 feet of elevation gain/loss by the end of it all. Although the rewards for those adventurous enough to brave all those steps will remember the day even without the summit photos.
